Injecta-Protecta and Tectus D-plus were developed after market feedback indicated that fuel related engine problems and failures were on the increase. Adding substance to this perception was the release of the investigation into Fuel related diesel engine failures by Professor Von Wielligh of the University of Pretoria. The following event is an excellent illustration of why the oil companies cannot be relied upon to control fuel quality:

 

During product development trials in 2005 (in co-operation with New Holland tractors), one oil company rep came across a farmer who was using a prototype Injecta Protecta formulation to cure persistent misfiring / idling problems with some brand new tractors. The rep had a typically defensive reaction and attacked our product (even though it was not affecting his sales at all), claiming that aftermarket additives like this were “rip-offs” as major  oil company had excellent quality control and complied with all standards, blah di blah…

 

However, when confronted with facts, he (and his technical department) admitted that they had in fact experienced lubricity problems “about 3 years ago”. They also claimed to have solved it and that there had not been any repeat of the problem.

 

This admission brings up several questions!

 

      *   Why had they not contacted any customers three years ago to warn them?

      *   Why had the New Holland tractor problems occurred SEVERAL times in the past TWELVE months?

      *   Why had they not picked up the problem BEFORE customers experienced operational difficulties / or damaged

           engines?

      *   Why had they still not offered to pay for repairs, or offer compensation for downtime?

      *   And most importantly; Why had they been unable to prevent it happening again?

  

The answer is obvious:  

 

      *  They cannot guarantee their own product quality due to variables which often fall outside of their control              

      *  They cannot test every delivery

      *  They don’t really care about what problems the consumer experiences.

    

Given this scenario, the ONLY reliable and foolproof solution is for operators to STOP relying on oil companies and 3rd  party suppliers, and instead to take responsibility for their own fuel quality. This sounds impossible, but XpaChem has succeeded in making it VERY simple, with two alternative products.

 Injecta-Protecta and Tectus D-Plus.  

 Both are concentrated fuel additives which can be added in very small quantities to either bulk tanks, or to actual vehicle  tanks every time they fill.
